CO-LAB launch workshops at national level in Austria, Poland and Portugal

After a very successful launch of CO-LAB in Ireland on 17 May, three other partnering countries had their launch events on 18 May – Austria, Poland and Portugal.

On 18 May, the BMBF (Ministry of Education & Women) in Austria initiated the national Co-Lab kick-off meeting at the PH der Diözese Linz in Linz (Austria). As Co-Lab partner, Austria is building its participation to the project on learning scenarios developed in several previous scenarios. These learning scenarios are to be further developed during the Co-Lab project and will be used for teacher training on the topic “collaboration and assessment”. During the meeting, not only the Co-Lab project was presented, but also results of the already finalized CCL project and the national education initiative eEducation Austria.

In Poland, the project partner Educational Research Institute in Warsaw organised the launch workshop on 18th May. The workshop gathered together around 50 teachers, school directors, future teachers, teacher trainers and representatives of national education institutions. The workshop provided the participants with the opportunity to discuss possibilities and observations on everyday practice on teaching CL in schools. The aspects raised concerned methods of teaching students with the use of CL, possibilities of students’ individual assessment, relations of CL notion with the teaching curriculum and teaching practice in schools.

In Portugal participants were invited to the launch of CO-LAB in the Escola Eça de Queirós. The event gathered 200 teachers, school principals, teachers trainers and policy makers.
